Name: Garrus Vakarian
Race: Turian (Human PB: Matthew Goode)
Background: Standard military training on Palaven; C-SEC; Spectre Candidate; Vigilante; Special Operative leading Reaper Task Force.
Appearance: In his own universe, Garrus is roughly 6'6" and vaguely avian in nature. Turians possess two long, thick fingers and one thumb on each hand. Each digit possesses a talon. They have bright, forward facing eyes, mandibles around their mouths, and a metallic carapace. His voice is usually low and wry but with a distinct flanging quality to the tone. His skin is a blueish grey and his talons, exoskeletal pieces, and crest are grey. He's particularly distinctive.
As a human he appears, disorientingly, to have four fingers and one thumb on each hand with no talons to speak of. He is barely 6'2", a dark olive-peach color, dark haired, and very squishy and poorly protected all over. Moreover, his knees bend the wrong way. All in all the effect is horrifying. The only parts of him that remain intact are the tattoo that marks his home colony across his nose, cheeks and jaw, and his eyes, although they cannot see nearly as well.
Garrus was badly injured in a firefight, taking a rocket to the face. The result is severe scarring over the corner of his right jaw, and part of his cheek and neck. The burns and tearing was healed and reconstructed to a degree, and as a human this presents as dark red and brown scarring, long healed but clearly the result of a catastrophic injury.
Mannerisms: Garrus is military, through and through, although after so many years of accompanying Commander Shepard across the galaxy taking on everything from the Geth to the Collectors to the Reapers, not to mention his time gone renegade from C-SEC to become a successful vigilante on the galaxy's most dangerous colony, Omega, he is considerably more dangerous than most career military manage to be. Garrus makes an effort to be warm, and gets along with others easily enough. He has a wry sense of humor and slight smiles and sideways glances demonstrate as much. He will stand at attention or lean against furnishings with a carefully studied casualness. As a crack shot, Garrus prefers seeing things from a distance, and has a very keen gaze. He is well built and muscular, though his limbs are all quite long, and he moves with an odd, detached sort of grace, or at least he will when he gets used to the way his human body works and stops tripping on things or walking into them.
